“I think we are not so much cut out for this flipping thing,” says Joey Illiano in his adorable, broken Italian-english accent. “The house look so good before we finish, my wife want to move there!” he says throwing his arms in the air.
“It really is true,” laughs his wife, Vivian, as they recall how hard it was to try to keep the town home project under budget, “every time we tried to lower the expenses, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it,” she says with her hands over her head.
“She can’t help it,” says Joey, “she always want the best and it is good so the buyer get the best, too,” he says. “Even though we don’t move in, it made my wife happy to make something beautiful and making something beautiful make her beautiful too,” he says leaning over to plant a kiss.”
“I lost most of my sight a few years ago,” explains Vivian, “having a project I could focus on has really helped to brighten my days and give some distraction from the loss and concern over not being able to work again.” She finishes.
“This project ended up being so much more than a renovation,” she adds. “It was sort of bring me back to life one room at a time.”
